Purchasing a subscription

Purchasing a subscription to Puffin Post is simple to do online. Visit the subscriptions page and fill in and submit the form with your details and credit or debit card payment. You can choose the start date for your subscription by selecting which magazine you would like to receive as the first issue. You can also choose whether you want a subscription to Puffin Post (for children aged 9+) or Puffin Post for Pufflings (for children aged 6+). Every subscription comes with a fantastic membership pack, six magazines and a choice of six free books a year. If you have any queries please call our customer service team on 0845 606 4261.

The two Puffin Post magazines

After listening to feedback from parents and children we are now producing two magazines. Both magazines are full of book-related features, including author interviews, short stories, sneaky peeks inside hot new books and articles on a range of fascinating topics, plus lots of chances for kids to see their work in print. Puffin Post for Pufflings is aimed at children aged 6+ and is the perfect magazine for the younger reader, with the usual Puffin Post emphasis on enjoying books and reading, plus jokes, quizzes, activities and competitions galore! Puffin Post is ideal for older readers (aged 9+) with articles to stretch them on subjects that will excite their imagination - not forgetting plenty of activities, competitions, cartoons, fun and games too! Gift subscriptions

If you want to purchase a subscription as a gift, you have the option of adding a message which will be sent with the membership pack to the recipient. You can specify when you would like the recipient's membership pack to be delivered and we will do our best to send it on the correct day, although dated delivery cannot be guaranteed. We endeavour to deliver membership packs within 10 working days, although it can take up to 21 working days for packs to arrive.

Payment methods

You can pay for your subscription securely by using any of the following credit or debit cards: Visa Credit, MasterCard, Visa Debit or Maestro. Click on the logo to confirm the certificate's validity.

What is my card's security number?

Your security number is the last three digits found on the reverse of your card on the signature strip. This is an anti-fraud security feature to help verify that you are in possession of your card. Please be sure to enter this correctly, as the wrong information will prevent us from charging your card and delay your order.

Subscription delivery costs

Don't worry about delivery charges! Delivery of your magazines, membership pack and free books is included with your Puffin Post subscription.

Membership pack contents

Not only do Puffin Post subscribers receive six brilliant magazines and a free book to choose with each issue, they also receive one of our fantastic membership packs. These include a range of exclusive Puffineer Products: writing paper and envelopes, a bookmark, a notebook, a collectable enamel badge, a pencil, a membership book, bookplates and a Puffin beanie toy.

Tracking a subscription

If you have purchased a Puffin Post subscription but have not received a confirmation email, or have not received your membership pack within 21 days of its due date, please call 0845 606 4261.

Cancelling a subscription

In the unlikely event that you wish to cancel a subscription once it has begun, you should contact customer services on 0845 606 4261. Subscriptions can only be refunded within 28 days of receipt of the first issue; after that date credit will be offered towards a new subscription. Credit will be calculated on a per-issue, pro rata basis.

Renewing a subscription

You can renew your subscription at any time. The renewals process is easy: just enter the subscriber's full name and membership number and follow the instructions on each page. The membership number can be found on the back of the pink membership book and on the address label on the magazines; if you are having difficulty finding it, please call customer services on 0845 606 4261. You can also renew your subscription over the phone.

If your subscription has expired you can renew it at any time, although you won't be able to catch up with any issues you have missed, so make sure you renew before your subscription expires to avoid missing a single issue of the brilliant Puffin Post!

Renewal pack contents

When existing subscribers renew their subscription they will receive a renewals pack. This will contain a fresh supply of exclusive Puffin Post stationery, a collectable enamel badge in a different colour and a fun accessory for their Puffin beanie toy, based on a design submitted by a Puffineer for a competition advertised in the magazine and on the website.

Transfering a subscription

Unfortunately subscriptions are non-transferable and you are only able to change the type of subscription that you have chosen when you are renewing your subscription.
